A unique distinction: Attaining Platinum status
We are very pleased to have been honored once again with the Best Managed Companies Award, now for the seventh time. This recognition is especially meaningful as we are the only recipient to have newly reached Platinum status this year, a special honor that sets us apart from our mid-sized peers in Germany.
The Best Managed Companies Award is an internationally established competition that recognizes outstanding German SMEs for their strong management performance. The jury comprises representatives from Deloitte Private, UBS, the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). Vetter has consistently demonstrated excellent corporate governance for seven consecutive years. Earning Platinum status this year is a testament to our strategic focus, sustainable growth, and long-term viability.
Thinking strategically ahead
These are globally challenging times, and they demand a great deal from us. The jury recognized our effectiveness in addressing these challenges through the continuous advancement of our corporate strategy and operational processes. Our success is evident in the completion of our Vetter NExT 2029 strategy program, our clear focus on ambitious climate goals, our key investments in sustainable growth and digitalization, and our company-wide Vetter Learning platform. According to the jury, these are just a few of the factors that distinguish us as an outstandingly managed company.
In choosing the award recipient, the jury evaluates four value drivers: Strategy, Productivity & Innovation, Culture & Engagement, and Governance & Finance. We impressed in all areas, with our ongoing site development and digitalization emerging as key strategic investment priorities. Our focus on new talent and lifelong learning not only offers our employees excellent career prospects, it also gave us a distinct edge in winning the award, which in turn becomes another selling point for Vetter as an employer.
Celebrations in Frankfurt
Best Managed Company for the seventh year running, and the only company to newly attain Platinum status this year: It was with great pride and immense joy that our delegation—Advisory Board Chairman Senator h.c. Udo J. Vetter, Managing Director Titus Ottinger, Senior Vice President HR Tobias Bürger, and Company Spokesperson Markus Kirchner—accepted the award on May 21 at the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten in Frankfurt. Titus Ottinger underlined how this success also points to the future:
