Our sustained success in securing government research funding is a reflection of our ability to continually set new standards in this field: Three of our innovation projects have been awarded more than €3 million in funding from the Research Grant Certification Office (BSFZ).
1. V-CRT® cleanroom technology
Our V‑CRT® two‑barrier system significantly reduces contamination risk by using H₂O₂ to decontaminate cleanrooms and facilitates rapid product changeovers. In 2024, Vetter received a research grant and a seal of approval from the Research Grant Certification Office (BSFZ) for this development.
2. Robot-assisted flexible production cell
In 2025, we received the next round of funding for our fully automated, robot-assisted isolator filling machine, also known as the flexible production cell, which sets new standards for aseptic filling.
3. AI-supported agar plate analysis for microbiological environmental monitoring
We received our latest grant this year for our innovative AI technology, which automatically evaluates over 600,000 agar plates annually. It features an AI-based multi-classifier system for assessing agar plates and transfers data directly to LabWare’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This project has redefined a key step in environmental monitoring, significantly increasing efficiency while substantially reducing employee workload.
