2000
Repositioning as a global full-service provider
Dynamically changing and in need of innovative solutions, the market at the beginning of the decade offered both enormous opportunities and major challenges. In order succeed, it was no longer enough to merely fill drugs into injection systems as a contract manufacturer. The advent of biotechnologies with sensitive and complex active ingredients demanded completely new services from their partners in aseptic filling.
In the years after 2000, Vetter implemented a comprehensive plan to position itself as a full-service provider for its worldwide customers. This included the expansion of old locations and the construction of new ones, investments in state-of-the-art technology and in the latest quality assurance systems, and a consistent optimization of corporate structure.

2008
Global Player and family business
In 2008, the family business continued to work on its internationalization and professionalization and successfully transitioned into the second generation. From now on, all Vetter families are represented in the company, and Senator h. c. Udo J. Vetter became chairman of the owner families.
In the course of this development, Vetter not only focused on personnel continuity within the family, but also on strategic investments in future-oriented areas of production. With the Vetter Secondary Packaging production facility, which was fully commissioned in May 2009, the company provided the appropriate response to this rising demand. Since then, Vetter has been able to offer all packaging steps under one roof, including, for example, the assembly of pens, auto-injectors, and other safety devices.
