Expanding clinical manufacturing capacity in the United States
With our new facility in Des Plaines, Illinois, we are strengthening our footprint in the US market and addressing the growing demand for clinical development and aseptic filling services.
The approximately 15,000 m² site is designed as an integrated development facility, covering all key processes—from material preparation and compounding to aseptic filling, storage, laboratories, and office space. With an investment of around €250 million, we are creating the foundation to nearly double our existing capacity for clinical services in the US.
In the long term, the new site will complement and gradually replace operations in Skokie, while also offering additional space for future expansion. This supports scalable growth and reinforces our commitment to the US market.
At the end of 2029, the site is expected to be completed and ready for media fill.
