My start at Vetter
I wanted to try something new, do something truly meaningful. Working at Vetter seemed exciting and important. The ad for the job in Packaging caught my eye, so I applied. The onboarding was very well organized. During the two-week intensive training course, we learned everything from how to introduce materials into the cleanroom to how to correctly handle medications. I found it particularly helpful that, as newbies, we were able to get to know the premises and the people first. This made the start much easier and really helped to calm my nerves.
My job in packaging
No two days are exactly alike. Before my shift begins, I check the digital board to see which resource I've been assigned, and then I report there. You're welcome to state your preferences, which are often taken into consideration. Then, the shift coordinator gives my colleagues and me a briefing on the upcoming process. After that, we start production. Using assembly machines, we assemble syringes into auto-injectors and safety devices and then package them for shipping. We also pack syringes and vials in trays and folding boxes. Each workstation focuses on either assembly, inspection, packaging, or sealing cartons. The best part is that we rotate these tasks several times a day. This not only provides variety but also reduces physical strain. My uniform—a white suit and a cap—is part of the job. The men also wear beard guards.
What I love about my job
I prefer to work thoroughly rather than too quickly because quality is what matters in the end. After all, we’re dealing with medicines that help patients. This realization spurs me on every day. I especially appreciate my team. We support and consult with one another, and together, we keep the processes running smoothly. No one ever feels alone.
Why Vetter is special
Vetter is a stable employer that genuinely cares about its employees. Whether it's through personal development or benefits, it’s clear that you’re seen as a person, not just a number. I really appreciate how openly managers communicate and having the feeling that I’m in good hands.
My future prospects
Standing still is not my thing. I look forward to getting to know even more divisions, taking on new responsibilities, and developing step by step. There are many opportunities at Vetter, and I’m ready to make the most of them.
