Vetter welcomes Chamber of Industry and Commerce training ambassadors to its new Training Center
On Wednesday, July 30, Vetter had the honor of hosting a very special event. It was an evening full of encounters, appreciation, and inspiration. Circa 80 training ambassadors were invited to a certificate award ceremony by the Lake Contance and Upper Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). And our new Training Center provided the ideal setting.
The annual ceremony is a staple on the Chamber of Industry and Commerce's calendar and an important show of appreciation for the young people who dedicated themselves to helping young students develop their careers. There's a good reason why Vetter was chosen as the venue for this year's event: With our new Training Center, we were able to offer state-of-the-art facilities and demonstrate the high value we place on training and continuing education within our company.
At the start of the evening, Vetter itself received a special honor: Senator h.c. Udo J. Vetter, Chairman of the Advisory Board and representative of the owner families, accepted a certificate from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce commemorating the company's 75th anniversary. There was a shared feeling of pride and gratitude as we reflected on the company’s sustained success throughout the years.
We presented the company's training program, showcasing everything from entry-level opportunities to hands-on development initiatives for emerging professionals, during the course of the event. Our training ambassadors offered their insights and gave a glimpse into life at Vetter from an apprentice’s perspective. As they toured the facilities, guests were given an inside look at our state-of-the-art training laboratories and rooms—an experience that underlined Vetter’s commitment to nurturing the professional development of its junior staff, especially those pursuing careers in the natural sciences.
The highlight of the evening was the official presentation of certificates to the training ambassadors. These ambassadors devoted their time to visiting classrooms and sharing details about their professional lives to give young people real insight into the world of work. Their engagement brings lasting value to students, businesses, and the broader community.
Vetter was also well represented: twelve of our apprentices were honored for their work as training ambassadors. Since 2024, we have increased the number of ambassadors significantly to raise our profile in schools and promote awareness of lesser-known apprenticeship professions. Our apprentices themselves gain valuable experience by developing their interpersonal skills and taking on responsibilities beyond their day-to-day work.
It was an evening marked by mutual appreciation, inspiring conversations, and a strong sense of community. We are proud to be part of this network and grateful for the opportunity to host this special event.
