Our application process
In our team, we live out open, transparent and above all honest communication. Of course, this also applies to your application process, which we want to make as simple and pleasant as possible for you. And this is how it usually works:
Start your job search
Found an open position? Then simply click on the “Apply now” button. You can register and create an applicant account directly, by the way, even without a letter. If you continue without registration, you will automatically receive your login details after sending your application and can register then.
Complete your candidate profile
Applying online has never been easier. In your candidate profile, you can upload your application documents and store your personal data. Among other things, the cover letter—but this is optional for all positions. If we have received your application documents, no waiting for a confirmation email is necessary—we are directly moving forward with your application process: We will promptly review your documents and get back to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we carefully review all submissions.
Welcome to the interview
We will get back to you as soon as we have checked your documents thoroughly. If your application has impressed us and the relevant department, we would naturally like to get to know you more. We would like invite you to a telephone or video interview or to an interview with us on site. If this personal conversation is successful, the next step will follow.
Trial day, second interview or assessment centre
The next step is to give you and us the opportunity to learn more about each other. That’s why we invite you—depending on your potential future position—for a second interview, a trial day or to our assessment centre.
Done! Your mindset and onboarding

The cover letter: This is how to awaken our interest.
In principle, we no longer need personal cover letters. If you still want to create one to inspire us, remember the following checkpoints:
✓ Make a company reference.
✓ Show us your added value by drawing on competencies—and supporting them with examples.
✓ Shine with individuality and creativity.
✓ The cover letter should be at most one page long and ideally follow a central theme.
The CV: tell us your story.
Your curriculum vitae describes your career and experiences. Completeness and a clear structure count.
✓ One to two pages maximum.
✓ Chronological structure (current event first) including time periods.
✓ Please use headings for better structuring.
✓ Use bullet points instead of body text.
✓ Upload CV as PDF file.

How long will it take for me to receive feedback on my application?
Once we have received your application, no waiting for a confirmation email is necessary—we are directly moving forward with your application process: We will promptly review your documents and get back to you as soon as possible. After that, we will keep you regularly and transparently informed. We take the time to examine your documents thoroughly—first in the HR team and then in the specialist department. If we are satisfied with your application, we plan an interview. As all of this takes some time, it may take a few weeks for us to get back in touch with you. But of course we will do everything we can to give you feedback as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
How and where do I submit my application documents?
For a quick and convenient application, please use our Vetter Job Portal. For reasons of sustainability, we only receive application documents online. In our job portal you can easily upload documents such as CVs or certificates.
I don’t have a pharmaceutical background—can I still apply to Vetter?
Of course! You can also apply to us without prior pharmaceutical knowledge, as we welcome candidates in many different disciplines, for example in technology, IT and commercial areas. And if you would still like to work in pharmaceutical production or solution manufacturing, we offer numerous positions for career changers or appropriate further training. Each job posting always states the qualifications we require from you.
Can I start part-time with Vetter?
Yes. You can find all open part-time positions in our Job Portal. To do this, filter by part-time using the “Contract type” button.
Can I apply for a mini job with Vetter?
Unfortunately, no. Unfortunately we do not currently have any mini job positions.

Saarlouis update
Vetter comes to Saarland and creates long-term prospects
Construction on our new site in Saarlouis has begun. In mid-2026, we will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new pharmaceutical production building, which will mark the first milestone of our long-term expansion. The first job opportunities for the new site have already been posted, and additional roles will be made available gradually. Follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, or XING to keep up to date.
Our goal is to start manufacturing essential medications in Saarlouis by 2031. Initially, we will hire circa 400 employees from various professional groups, including career changers, specialists, and managers. Over the course of several years, up to 2,000 jobs will be created in further expansion phases. Our objective is to strengthen the location for the long term and establish ourselves as an attractive employer in the region.
