Focus on sustainability—a look back at Vetter’s Sustainability Days

Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter tauschen sich zu den Vetter Nachhaltigkeitstagen aus

Five weeks full of engagement, inspiration, and hands-on activities: The Sustainability Days at Vetter showcased numerous ways to integrate sustainability into everyday operations. Our commitment to a sustainable future was reflected in the interactive exhibitions, challenges, and recycling initiatives.

United in sustainability: A look back at the Vetter Sustainability Days

From September 15 to October 19, sustainability took the spotlight at Vetter. Designed to encourage participation, reflection, and collaboration, this year's Sustainability Days activities generated a high level of interest and enthusiasm among employees at all locations.

Hands-on activities with impact

We collected old cell phones and sent them to be recycled, ensuring that the efficient reuse of resources contribute to protecting the environment. It's a small step with a big impact!

The SDG Challenge featured on SharePoint was also very well received. Completing everyday tasks related to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals encouraged many to engage with issues such as climate protection, education, and equality. As a small thank you, all participants were entered into a raffle to win one of five smart Vetter bicycle helmets equipped with built-in indicators.

Hands-on sustainability through the SDG exhibition

The interactive SDG exhibition—which was set up in five locations—was a highlight. The large roll-ups provided a clear and concise overview of the global sustainability goals. Employees took the opportunity to dive deeper, gain new insight, and discuss ideas.

An online SDG quiz accompanied the exhibition, providing additional incentive to engage with the content. Winners received a Vetter thermos and a jute bag.

Integrating sustainability into daily routines through engaging, educational formats

Quiz cards placed on restaurant tables invited people to ask each other questions about sustainability. This was an easy and enjoyable way to share knowledge and start conversations. People gladly took the informational materials and newspapers available at the UN newspaper stand.

Ravensburg’s "County in Bloom" initiative organized a wild herb tour, offering participants a unique experience and new insights into the local flora.

Outcome: United in sustainability

The Sustainability Days initiative is a demonstration of the considerable potential of collaborative engagement. The event inspired, informed, and motivated attendees. It highlighted once again that sustainability at Vetter is not merely an idea, but a responsibility that we willingly embrace.
