Working together to give back to others
Our recent initiatives demonstrate once again what it means to lead by example.
Vetter Goes Social: Fundraising and fostering creativity with beeswax
In September, trainees, dual students, and interns at the Schützenstraße site, together with participants of the Integrative Entry Program, organized an employee fundraiser as part of Vetter Goes Social. This new event is proof that modest contributions could make a difference. Many colleagues stopped by to chat, spin the wheel of fortune, and make small donations in exchange for snacks and mocktails. Their support helped the fundraising afternoon get off to a good start. The proceeds went to the AMALIE outpatient children's hospice services in the districts of Ravensburg and Lake Constance.
On October 29, we showed how social engagement can be creative and have an impact on even the youngest children. As part of the "Vetter Goes Social" initiative, our employees' children had the opportunity to create beeswax art during their fall break. Our colleague and hobby beekeeper Eduard Junemann gave them a fascinating glimpse into the lives of bees. This initiative is an important step in improving childcare and helping children understanding nature and wildlife.
Meals on Wheels at VDS Chicago
Chicago employees enthusiastically took part in the Meals on Wheels volunteer initiative, packing over 200 meals for seniors in need. Their efforts helped more people enjoy good, nutritious meals.
Backpacks lend a hand
The Backpack Project is another volunteer initiative in Chicago that supports underprivileged schoolchildren. Volunteers came together to fill backpacks with essential school supplies. This initiative provides valuable support for children facing hardship.
