Frequently asked questions
How do I apply for an internship, thesis, or working student position at Vetter?
You can apply for advertised positions quickly and easily online via our job portal. Please note that we cannot process applications sent by email for data protection reasons. However, if you have any questions about your application, please feel free to contact us by email.
Do none of the advertised positions really fit? Then we look forward to receiving your unsolicited application via "Proactive Internship" and "Proactive Thesis".
When does the internship start? When and until when can I apply?
Our internships are each advertised for six months. An internship always starts at the same time as the semester periods in September and March. We are also happy to allow you to start at a different time; please mention this in your application.
Our internships are published six months before they start (i.e., always at the beginning of March and the beginning of September). There is no application deadline—the position is online and open for your application until it is filled.
Which documents do I need to apply?
You can upload the following documents (as PDFs) to your candidate profile:
- Resume
- Certificates
- Cover letter—This is not a must, but it allows us to get to know you better and find out more about your motivation and interests. This can increase your chances.
I don't know which internship suits my studies. What now?
In principle, we offer suitable internships, theses, and entry-level positions for almost every degree program—so it's worth taking a look at our job portal! We have summarized which fields of study are suitable for which professional fields in a brief decision-making guide.
Can I also apply for an internship after my studies?
Yes, absolutely! Our internships are, of course, also aimed at graduates. University enrollment is not a prerequisite, and a voluntary internship is always possible.
How exactly does the application process work?
Once we have received your application, we will take enough time to review it together with the specialist department. If you impress us, we will invite you to a virtual interview as soon as possible. Colleagues from the internship support team and the specialist department will take part. After the interview, you can let us know whether you are still interested in the internship—and we will also coordinate internally and get back to you with our decision. Of course, we try to do all this as quickly as possible. In any case, we will always keep you transparently up to date.
