The first 100 days at Vetter: Florian Reichle, Apprentice

Actually, it's been more than 100 days. Florian Reichle was already working in production before starting his apprenticeship as a machine and plant operator. Here an interview.

Which apprenticeship are you doing at Vetter?

I'm training to be a machine and plant operator and getting an additional certificate in cleanroom technology from the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). This will allow me to work as a mechanic in production later on.

Why did you choose this apprenticeship?

I didn't need to specifically look into the apprenticeship and Vetter because I was already working for the company as a production employee. I started the apprenticeship because I wanted to further develop myself.

How was the welcome event?

Other apprentices will have most likely given similar answers to this question. That's because we all begin with a getting acquainted day and a team-building event that last several days. So you get off to a great start here.

How did your onboarding go?

I work in the training center (VAZ), where we not only manufacture parts for our apprentices project, but also for other departments. As apprentices, we are on an equal footing – with all the tasks and duties – here. This also includes keeping the VAZ clean, for example.

What was the highlight of your first 100 days?

I actually experience it every day. Because I think it's a highlight that we get the time we need here to complete our tasks thoroughly.

What's next for you?

After being at the training center, we move into production to gain an even better understanding of how the parts we manufacture are actually used in the end and to learn about our upcoming tasks as a mechanic in pharmaceutical production.
