November 2007: Vetter receives Japanese Certificates of Accreditation of Foreign Manufacturers
Japan`s Ministry for Health, Labor and Welfare has given Vetter the go-ahead as a foreign manufacturer for the Japanese pharmaceutical market. Vetter, a world leader in aseptic filling of pre-filled injection systems, received certification in the categories "drug, sterile product", "drug, packaging, labelling and storage" and "medical device, sterilized medical device."

November 2007: Vetter is expanding its facilities and investing in the future
Vetter Pharma-Fertigung GmbH & Co. KG, has started the construction of a new facility for visual inspection and secondary packaging. Vetter, the leading manufacturer of aseptic prefilled application systems, will be adding the new building close to Ravensburg Vetter South (RVS), its existing state-of-the-art facility. The approximately 20-million-euro expansion will create more than 200 new jobs.

October 2007: Vetter captures important industry award
Vetter Pharma-Fertigung, world leader in the production of aseptically prefilled injection systems, has won this year`s European Outsourcing Award in the category "Most improved Process/Plant/Facility." The prize recognized the outstanding new facility Ravensburg Vetter South (RVS), which began operations at the beginning of the year. The award is sponsored by the trade publisher Via Media Ltd and the magazine pharma. The winners were anounced during the International Contract Services Expo (ICSE) in Milan in early October.

September 2007: Increased safety for prefilled syringes
Vetter Pharma-Fertigung announce the launch for a new closure system for pre-filled syringes that will enable a greater degree of safety for users. The Vetter V-OVS NS® was designed for syringes with a staked needle. It features mechanisms to prevent tampering, counterfeiting. The closure system will be showcased at the ISCE in Milan, October 2-4.

April 2007: Vetter`s new facility captures important industry award
Vetter Pharma-Fertigung has won this year`s "Facility of the Year Award" in the "Process Innovation" category for its new facility Ravensburg Vetter South (RVS). The award is one of the most important distinctions in the pharmaceutical industry.

January 2007: Approval for new production plant
Vetter Pharma-Fertigung GmbH & Co. KG, the leading expert for aseptic filling of liquid and lyophilized drugs, has received a manufacturing license in accordance with German Drug Laws from the Tuebingen Regional Board for its new state-of-the-art plant Ravensburg Vetter South.
