Laboratory Chemist

Requirements:	At least a good secondary school leading to intermediate qualification or High School Diploma

Duration of training:	3 years A reduction of the qualification period with High School Diploma is possible.

Contents of training:	Health protection, environmental protection Efficiency in the Laboratory (among other things economical usage of energy) Quality assurance measures; customer orientation Quality management Maintenance of laboratory devices (Care / Servicing) Handling of materials and chemicals Chemical and physical methods of seperation and purification Determination of physical parameters and chemical substance constants Analytical work (sampling, overhaul, inorganic qualitative analysis, gravimetry, volumetry) Preparative chemistry, performance of chemical reactions Instrument analysis (chromatography, spectroscopy) / working with automated systems The use of foreign languages for specific tasks Data logging and processing / documentation / EDP
