How does a restricted access barrier system differ from the isolator?  Find the answer to these questions and why RABS is emerging as the preferred choice among contract development and manufacturing organizations.

With the advent of the isolator and the RABS in the mid-90’s, the demand for RABS has become more prominent. One of the primary reasons for this rapid uptake is the enhanced flexibility RABS offers beyond the isolator. RABS can allow for faster start-up time, ease of changeover and reduced capital costs, particularly with retrofits and renovations. Joerg Zimmermann, Director Process Development and Implementation at Vetter provides further detail on RABS and why it is quickly becoming the system of choice to enable a higher level of contamination free product.
